Bible Felt Manual
Scope & Sequence

Felt Stories

Did you know that faith is natural to a young child ~ Just as they clutch firmly to the hand of the one who shows them
love and understanding, a child will naturally draw close to that person's care.
Likewise, it's natural for a child to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ when they are taught about His love, grace and redemption.
Faith comes by hearing... hearing the Word of God. It's true for children as well.

Scripture is filled with famous Bible events that are made available to us for our learning. They give us examples of God's hand in history,
His love,
and His grace. Plus, other numerous New Testament examples of how to live to keep our lives from straying away from
the path of righteousness through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ ~ An important part of childhood education that has been discarded
from our local elementary schools.

May the joy of the Lord fill your heart as you spread the Gospel to all precious children, whether they be your own or those you oversee during Sunday School Class, vacation Bible school, summer camp, a Daycare Center, Home School co-op, child sitting, a neighborhood get-together and even mission trips. There are many opportunities to share the Word of God with children.

With the teaching aid of felt stories we can use the wisdom of the Bible to sow godly character, virtue, and God's love within our children,
all the while giving them a Language Arts class they won't find in public school.

Below is a growing list of topical felt stories that can be taught using Bible felt figures found within the sets of
Betty Lukens Through the Bible in FeltPlease make note... we are working on coordinating Bible worksheets this year.
Once they are completed you will find them indexed on our page listed Bible Lessons.

Teaching Tip: How to Make the Most of Felt Stories

Felt Board Stories

If you feel a little unsure on how to go about teaching with felt board stories we want to encourage you.
"You can be a tool for the Lord and increase in knowledge of God when you do!"   Yet, not because of our
Sunday School materials we offer but because of your faithfulness to study God's Word.

Have confidence in this... 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." Be refreshed in Christ, "continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast; not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard," for the Lord is your strength.

All it takes is time well spent.   Like with any Bible lesson you prepare for it takes time to study God's Word. The more you study,
the more God's Word will be dwelling in you ~ thus the more knowledge of the Lord you gain and pass on. Both you and the children will be built up in the faith.

Thank you for your devotion to God and your diligence in teaching the young. We pray that you will find it joyous work to plow the heart of a child making furrows as repositories for the seed of the Word of God.
