Buy this set and forgo purchasing quarterly curriculum

This felt set is awesome... very detailed and complete. Can tell pretty much any Bible story with the pieces and, since there are so many pieces, you can often borrow from other stories or add to the suggested felt pieces to further dramatize stories (for example, we just had a lesson on Joseph getting sold into slavery and I cut out a splash of red felt to put on Joseph's coat representing blood- the more action we put into the story, the better attention we seem to get from the kiddos).
This felt set arrives uncut meaning you will spend many hours getting everything cut (I suggest cutting a hair outside of the line b/c of slight fraying) but it is definitely worth the effort and patience. On that note, I would be hesitant to share this very nice felt set with many people for fear of losing or damaging the pieces or even getting the pieces out of order. Some of the numbering on the felt pieces is difficult to read and a few pieces are labeled incorrectly but by following the pictures in the BL manual, I didn't have too much trouble figuring out which images to use. My set is 6.5" which works well for my preschool SS class of about 10 kids who sit on the floor around the flannelgraph boards. If purchasing for older children or larger groups of children, you might want to get the size large set.
