This first DVD, People Who Met Jesus - Series 1 is a series of eight short Bible stories about people who met Jesus when He began His ministry on earth, and how meeting the Messiah changed, or didn't change, their lives. Each one who met Jesus had to make a decision of how to respond to Him and what meaning He had in their lives.

DVD  tells the stories of eight different people from different backgrounds and experiences, who met Jesus in a variety of circumstances: 

• Simon Peter, a fisherman who battled his own limitations and failures, but eventually learned to co-operate with Jesus.
• Matthew, the tax collector who gave up everything he had to follow Jesus.
• The Centurion, whose faith recognized the authority of Jesus Christ.
• The Woman at the Well, a Samaritan who discovered that Jesus could break through race, gender and religion.
• The Nobleman who wonders if he can trust Jesus to heal his son.
• Jairus and His Daughter, whose faith in Jesus wouldn't let them give up.
• The Rich Young Ruler who won't let go of His earthly possessions to gain eternal life.
• Nicodemus, a member of the Sanhedrin high court that opposes Jesus who needs time to find answers to his questions.

Each story in the series is professionally narrated and acted, with realistic props and settings. The accompanying narration introduces each scene, as well as explains the culture and historical events surrounding the story.  It includes Scriptural references, but also includes some creativity as to what the characters may have been thinking.

Each video segment begins with setting the scene, giving the Scriptural background of the story, and explaining historical or cultural events surrounding the time. It also tells where in Scripture this story can be found so viewers can locate it on their own. At the end of each segment, the narrator sums up the story with what the main character learned about Jesus and reviewing the decision she or he had to make. Then he asks the viewer what they will decide to do with Jesus.

This series is an excellent resource and discussion starter for a small group or for your family.  Whether you're meeting as a small group with children of varying ages, or as a Sunday School class of one age group, children will be engaged, entertained, and encouraged by these stories. At home, these videos would be ideal for a family devotional time.
