Joseph is Sold by His brothers - Bible Activity: Dramatize the story of Joseph. Dress up in costumes to make this Bible account memorable for your children. Make your own costumes or buy them new. Find parts of Joseph's life that would be easy to play out. As an example, use a tall empty card board box or laundry basket to represent a "pit". If you are using a box, decorate the outside and inside of what you think this "pit" might have looked like.
Act out the story of Joseph's brothers putting him into the pit then selling him into slavery. Here are a few more ideas: Joseph overseeing Potiphar's household, keeper of the prison, and Joseph second in command of Egypt. Pick & act out your favorite parts of the story, make the life of Joseph a week study at your house!
Joseph and Potiphar - Things to Talk About: Discuss Joseph's punishment. Why did God allow him to be punished for his good behavior? Is punishment always just for the righteous? What was Joseph's attitude, was he resentful for being punished?
