Without question, the very best "teachers" are good planners
and thinkers. The success of teaching biblical truths doesn't "just happen." The road to success takes commitment and practice, especially of those skills involved in planning lessons and learning activities, and in managing time spent in training and teaching children.
In any effectove teaching method, and surely in the teaching of something so spiritual as Biblical Truth, it makes a great difference who the main teacher is. Without a doubt the most influential "teacher" a child has is his/her "parent(s)". Sunday School teachers can teach a child only in a schoolroom situation by allotment of a few hours a week compared to the time a child has within the home.
Most Christian parents recognize Sunday School teachers are not responsible for their child's spiritual growth but it falls on them. And most Christian parents do seek out ways to influence their children for good during the time they are with them. We trust you are one of those Christian parents.
It is equally important, if not more important to know too... a child's faith in the LORD will develop during your daily routines where family prayer is established, and biblical reasoning is encouraged through family Bible study, wholesome conversations, and most importantly when children can see godly standards shine forth in their parent's everyday example, for truly these are effective teaching methods that glorify the LORD.
We want to share a few teaching methods with you that we found works well in our home. They can easily be adaptable for children in a classroom setting as well.
